A man was arrested after allegedly trying to fight people on the Kailua Pier on Friday afternoon.

A man was arrested after allegedly trying to fight people on the Kailua Pier on Friday afternoon.

Okusitino R. Ramsey, 31, of no permanent address, was allegedly trying to fight people on the pier, which led to a call to law enforcement at 4:34 p.m.

After police responded to the scene, Ramsey was placed in handcuffs.

While so restrained, police allege he kicked one of the officers.

Ramsey was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, disorderly conduct and contempt of court in a separate case.

His total bond was set at $750, which he posted on 9:45 a.m. Oct. 26.

The case was committed to circuit court and he was ordered to appear in court at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9 by Judge Margaret Masunaga.

He was represented by public defender Frederick Macapinlac and the case was prosecuted by Britani Barker.
